Open fields and olive trees
Where do I even begin with Linda’s senior session? I first had the joy of photographing her during the fall cheer season at San Luis Obispo High School. She was a bright light on the varsity cheer team—always smiling, always laughing, and always bringing such an infectious energy to every photo. From the very start, she was one of my favorites to capture, and that didn’t change one bit during her senior session.
Originally, Linda had a different photographer lined up, but when plans shifted and she reached out to me, I didn’t hesitate for a second to say yes. I was absolutely honored.
Linda is the kind of person who lights up a room—and a camera frame. Her laughter is contagious, and her joy is simply undeniable. To know her truly is to love her.
For her session, Linda knew she wanted a mix of open fields and a more agricultural feel. We chose two beautiful local spots- one with rolling hills and the second with olive trees and vineyards that fit her so perfectly. Not only did it reflect her style, but it also tied into her involvement in FFA, which has been a big part of her high school experience.
On top of FFA, Linda was also the ASB President—so to say she had a full plate would be an understatement. But what always stood out to me was her ability to handle it all with so much grace, positivity, and genuine care for the people around her. She’s the kind of leader you remember.
She also made a personal impact on my family—she played a role in sparking my daughter’s interest in ASB, and for that, I’m especially grateful. Getting to photograph her senior session felt extra special, knowing just how much she’s inspired those around her.
Linda is UC Davis bound, and I have no doubt she’s going to do amazing things. I’m so proud of her and beyond excited to see what’s next for her.
