Senior Session at Avila Beach
I'm just in love with this senior session we did for Zoë! She knew she wanted to be around flowers and the beach—Avila Beach, to be exact—and it turned out to be the perfect day full of sun, light, and so much joy.
When deciding on locations for your senior session, I always like to start by asking: What's the vibe you're going for? Then I follow up with, Are there any places around the county that feel special to you or hold great memories? Choosing a location that has personal meaning—whether it's your favorite beach, a trail you love to hike, or even your family’s backyard—adds so much depth and emotion to your photos. It’s not just about how the photos look (though that matters too!), but how they feel. You’re creating a moment you’ll remember for years, and that connection to place really shines through.
Every senior I photograph is unique, and I love making sure their session reflects who they are. Zoë’s love for the beach and the natural beauty of Avila Beach made this session so true to her personality, and that’s exactly what I aim for every time.
This class of seniors has been such a joy to work with. Some I’ve known for the last two Fall Cheer seasons, and I’ve even gotten to do Cap & Gown sessions with a few of them recently. It’s been a full, fun season with such an incredible group.
