Coastal Views & Graduation Season
There’s something really special about this time of year. With graduation for San Luis Obispo High Seniors right around the corner, it feels like everything is coming full circle. I always love making sure my seniors get their moment to be celebrated, and Brian’s session was such a perfect reflection of that.
From the start, Brian knew exactly what kind of setting he wanted for his photos. He wanted something natural, relaxed, and scenic. Montana de Oro couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. It’s one of those locations that truly has it all. The tall eucalyptus trees create the dreamiest light and texture, adding so much depth and warmth to photos. And just a short walk away, you’re met with those incredible cliffs overlooking the coastline.
We spent time moving between the trees and the cliffs, capturing a mix of moments that were laid-back, and easygoing. It really is a stunning backdrop. Brian made everything feel effortless. He’s the kind of person who just goes with the flow, and that always translates so naturally in photos.
These are the moments that capture not just a milestone, but the people, pride, and memories that made it all possible.
One of my favorite parts of the session was having his family there. They were his built-in hype team, making him laugh, teasing a bit, and just soaking in the moment together. Toward the end of the session, they jumped in for a few photos, which made the experience even more meaningful. These are the moments that turn a senior session into something that captures not just a milestone, but the people who helped get you there.
Sessions like this are such a reminder of how big this season of life really is. Not just for the seniors, but for their families too.
