HOW ONE location works for a Senior Session
This senior session at Pismo Beach was a special one! Zyanna came into our lives a couple of years ago when she and my daughter cheered together and instantly clicked. I have such a soft spot for her and her whole family. So when she asked me to take her senior photos, the answer was an immediate (and loud!) YES!
From the start, Zyanna knew exactly what she wanted. She already had her dream location picked out before senior year even began: a specific little corner of Pismo Beach that fit her vision perfectly. She came prepared with three outfits that gave us tons of variety: a fun two-piece set, a little pink dress, and a casual look with the cutest pink top and white pants. Every outfit looked amazing against the beachy backdrop.
One location doesn’t mean one look.
You can stay in the same area and still get photos that feel completely different, just by turning a different direction, walking a few steps, or switching outfits. This Pismo Beach spot is a perfect example: the eucalyptus grove (which we didn’t even end up using!), a boardwalk in one direction, and wide-open beach in the other. Without ever driving to a second spot, we created a whole gallery that is full of personality.
One of my favorite moments from Zyanna’s senior session was including her little niece for a few photos. I’m always happy to bring siblings or someone special in for a few shots. It’s such a sweet way to make your session even more meaningful. Those tiny moments end up being some of the most treasured.
I can’t wait to see where Zyanna goes after high school. I’ll be cheering her on every step of the way. For now, soak up your senior year, enjoy the little things, and don’t blink… because graduation comes quicker than you think.
